What our mother always told us was about the mother of two sons will tell her two sons don't get muddy. The sons vein disobidient, not listening they will come in covered in mud. In a previous poem, the mid was mad into a long lost sister they never had called The Girl. They would go into the rain just to be in the mud playing in mud.

I think the poem has some moral to it as not everything you want, is not what you need. In the previous poem the boys created The Girl and just because you want something means that it is something good for you and a mother knows. And in the poem the mother say "What did I tell you?" Because a mother knows! The two boys would come in the house from the rain and mud tracks on their feet.

Overall, I think the poem has a moral to it. Always listen to your mother because she knows better. Even if it's things that you want it might not be best for you. It could have an important message within the poem. A mother knows!
